The Board of Directors is the governing body for the members of Community Co-op Market and is responsible for ensuring organizational performance on behalf of all of the co-op's members. This work includes developing clearly stated expectations through written policies; delegating responsibility and authority; and monitoring compliance with written policies.
By focusing on the big-picture vision of our co-op, the board ensures that we position our organization for the maximum benefit of our members, while anticipating trends and values which may have a critical impact on our relevance and survival.
Camille Lewis
Board Director
Camille Lewis is a Tallahassee native, local urban farmer, and dedicated community advocate. She is the owner of Earth’s Garden LLC, where she promotes agricultural education and empowers individuals and families to grow their own food using organic, sustainable methods. An experienced educator passionate about food justice and community wellness, Camille is pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology at Florida State University, where her research focuses on farm-to-school programming and healthy eating with preschool students.
George Raúl Audi
Board Financial Officer
George was drawn to become a board member of the co-op because, “This is a great organization that provides an anchor for citizens, especially children and young adult with respect to nutrition literacy, which is a major health issue plaguing our population today. I am very privileged to be part of an organization that is truly trying to change that.”
ANTHONY GOODWIN
Records Officer/Non-Patron Director
Anthony serves as the Business Innovation Director for National Co-op Grocers (NCG) where he is focused on the research and development of innovative solutions to grow the size, scope, and diversity of the cooperative grocery sector in low-income, low-access (LILA) communities.
His passion is improving food access in under-resourced communities. He has over 17 years of grocery industry experience across various sectors including national chains, non-profits, and cooperatives. Prior to joining NCG, Anthony worked in retail operations and new store development for Meijer and Lucky's Market and led the development of three non-profit grocery stores in Ohio and Michigan.
Anthony has a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Business Administration degree and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health with a concentration on food justice and health equity.
Edea Bailey
Board Chair
A legal professional with 2.5 years of experience in 503c management with previous board participation, Edea holds a Master of Arts studies focused heavily on food scarcity, social responsibility, the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. She is a native English speaker who is fluent in French with 4+ years of international management experience in the United Kingdom and France. Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, change management, and problem solving with excellent communication skills. Passionate about emerging technologies, volunteering, learning languages, and social justice.
Wis Benoit
Board Director
Wis Benoit is a civic strategist, researcher, and liberation conspirator. He is a researcher and advisor at the Florida Housing Coalition, where he focuses on affordable housing data, policy analysis, and advocacy. He contributes to the organization's annual Home Matters Report and supports local governments and nonprofits across Florida in understanding and addressing housing affordability.
Wis holds a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a concentration in social entrepreneurship. He completed additional studies in Sustainable Cities at Aalborg University in Denmark.
He is deeply embedded in Tallahassee's food and community development ecosystem. He is a member of the Food Council assembled by the FAMU Agroecology Center, connecting local farmers, food system allies, and community advocates working toward a more equitable and resilient regional food system. He previously served as Board Secretary of the Frenchtown Neighborhood Improvement Association, where he helped establish the Kitchen Share, a commercial-grade kitchen aimed at supporting food entrepreneurs. Wis is a former board member of Community Co-op Market and is running to deepen his contribution to its mission and service.
Roderick McCulloch
Non-Patron Director
Roderick McCulloch is a Loan Officer at Shared Capital Cooperative, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to building economic democracy through cooperative finance. He brings a uniquely hands-on perspective to cooperative development, shaped by nearly two decades in the culinary industry, followed by another decade at Seward Community Co-op — where he progressed through a variety of roles including leading the Prepared Foods and Commissary Kitchen departments before serving as Fresh Food Merchandising Coordinator. Roderick deepened his commitment to the cooperative movement by earning a Master's in Management of Cooperatives and Credit Unions from St. Mary's University's Sobey School of Business, and has extended that commitment through board service with National Cooperative Grocers Development Co+op (as Board Chair), Mississippi Market Cooperative, and Seward Community Co-op. At Shared Capital, he channels his operational expertise, financial acumen, and cooperative values into supporting all types of co-ops across the United States — with a particular focus on food co-ops — helping them de-mystify the world of lending and finance to increase their likelihood of successfully securing the financing they need to thrive.
LYNN MASIMORE
Board Vice-Chair
Lynn is currently pursuing her Master's in Computer Science at Florida State University. Prior to returning to school, she worked in the FSU Controller's Office and for Publix Supermarkets. Lynn has a passion for local food, local businesses, and making quality food available for all.
Alexis Akua
Board Director
Alexis “Akua” Williams is an artist researcher, writer, herbalist and farmer with Caribbean and West African roots. Born into a lineage of farmers in the southeastern United States, she finds magic in designing holistic experiences rooted in wellness and creativity. In 2020, she founded Genie Botanica, an ancestral craft studio based in Florida that bridges the worlds of art and ecology to preserve Black indigenous culture.
She studied Fine Art at Parsons School of Design and Painting at Maryland Institute College of Art. In 2024, she served as the Creative Director at Promise Land Urban Farm. She has worked as an environmental art educator with the Tallahassee Food Network, Black Sustainability Inc. and the Agroecology Center at Florida A&M University. She is certified in Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Youth Mental Health First Aid.
